White Sangria

Villanova U. White Sangria:

White Sangria in glass

A drink every old-school man should know how to make: An amazing sangria to keep the party going all night, a mimosa-replacement at brunch, or to re-hydrate after a hard workout at the gym (Sara says, “Gatorade is for wimps!”). Certainly gets high marks from the discriminating drunkards at www.themilehighreport.com, and it’s a favorite of the ladies.

Mixology:

Girl making Sangria

~1.5 liter bottle (50.7 fl. oz.) of a good dry white wine like a Pinot Grigio (don’t use a Chardonnay for this)

~2 cups (16 fl. oz.) of your favorite Peach Schnapps (or you can use a Raspberry Schnapps for variation)

~2 tablespoons of sugar

~1 can (12 fl. oz.) of ginger-ale or any lemon-lime soda of choice

~Some coarsely chopped fresh fruit like: apples, pears, peaches, strawberries, kiwi, etc.

Pour and stir everything together in a large pitcher or punch bowl and let sit for a while in the fridge to let the flavors develop. Serve chilled and over ice in wine glasses, and ENJOY!
